A video circulating on social media where a woman claiming to be Shonette George on tiktok is heard hurling racial remarks. She appears to be hostile to African Guyanese. The Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) has not begun any investigations or has the woman been arrested.

In the video the woman can be heard using multiple expletives, while stating that majority of the A Partnership of National Unity (APNU) supporters will be gathered ‘to collect we president money.’ Additionally, the woman is heard stating that persons from the Afro Guyanese community are stupid.

Only recently Working People’s Alliance (WPA) executive, Tacuma Ougensye, was charged and released on bail for inciting racial hostility.

Efforts to secure an answer from the police about the possibility of prosecution for the woman revealed that the police commissioner will have to be informed of the incident.

A copy of the video was sent to the Ethnic relations commission and a response is expected. (9Newsbreak).
