Racism is indeed the vilest activity in which to engage, yet humans ignore the sordid spinoff, bent on participating in such demeaning activities despite its immoral end results.
Racists are shrewd and it is not unusual for those with such propensities to incorporate gullible members of the oppressed group within their rank and file in an effort to cloak their activities and give off an aura of equity.
History is replete with those among the oppressed that chose to sell their souls to the oppressors for the proverbial ’20 pieces of silver.’ Such behaviors were depicted during the period of slavery in the Americas where the house slaves thwarted uprisings, in the process, prolonging the agony of the enslaved. Such behaviors are inexplicable and may require further research to fully comprehend.
Nonetheless, sociologists have argued that self-preservation and personal gratification are the primary reasons for the oppressed to join forces with their oppressors. Such persons think solely of saving their own skins even though such behaviors are frowned upon by those that staunchly wage warfare over such unfair and unethical policies. This unsavory phenomenon has, regrettably, raised its ugly head in our beloved country and on this occasion, the white plantocracy is replaced by Indian supremacists, while the oppressed are Africans and those that refuse to support such outlandish policies.
The general belief is that the ruling cabal, consisting primarily of those of the Indian clan, and handpicked Africans, placed there for window dressing purposes, masquerades within the hierarchy of the ruling cabal, albeit with minimal power or influence, in an attempt to give credibility to the horrible status quo.
Most of these African politicians are assigned to offices devoid of authority and with minimal policy-defining roles. There is staunch evidence of manipulation, even at the ministerial level, where junior ministers direct the show behind the scenes.
There are also substantiated reports of politically appointed Permanent Secretaries with administrative powers superseding those of sitting senior ministers. Obviously, this is a deliberate, unadulterated ploy at emasculation of Africans, and may I add, sordid, and an insult to the tenants of authority as well as our ancestors who have made tremendous sacrifices, including paying death-defying sacrifices to attain the freedom we ought to be enjoying today.
Admittedly, amongst us, are deceptive agents, devoid of even a modicum of dignity, but loaded with complicity, in the oppression of their kith and kin.
It boggles the mind and leaves right-thinking persons appalled by the number of dissidents to have unashamedly ‘crossed the floor’ while citing economic deprivation and survival reasons. Meanwhile, the PPP ‘mind twisters’ have labeled such acts as the realization of those defectors of their (PPP) broad-based impartial policies. Sad indeed!
If the truth be told; the disparity in the distribution of the nation’s wealth has revealed the crippling fact that Africans are fed fodder in comparison to the feast doled out to another ‘privileged’ ethnic group and those complicit members of the Africans. One only needs to examine the statistics in the distribution of the nation’s wealth to fully understand the unfair disparities. The stark reality is that since August 2020, over 90% of government contracts were awarded primarily to supporters of the ruling cabal, over 70% of new employees incorporated into the GECOM workforce are Indians, over 80% of land leases canceled at Wales were initially granted to Africans whose villages were constantly denied meaningful developmental benefits.
Further, one cannot ignore that Indians were the preferred employees at government agencies and ministries, nor can the onlooker ignore the unmeritorious dismissal of more than a thousand African civil servants from government institutions. Deliberate efforts were also undertaken to deny Africans of ancestral lands under their charge among other racist acts. Nonetheless, many Africans, some prominent, have taken up posts within the government, albeit self-serving, an absence of consciousness, or in valiant efforts to stave off the harsh economic challenges that their non-compliance engendered.
The Ali/Jagdeo regime has mastered the art of deception. Their outreach to African villages is a charade designed to sow the seed of division among Africans and the selling of false hope. In many African communities, the immediate output is the award of contracts for the cleaning of community drains.
To the uninitiated, this may appear as an equitable allocation of government benefits, but in effect, it is merely an oppressive statement to Africans that defines their place in this society; “This is the sum total of your input.” Notwithstanding, there is dignity in labor and my rationale must not be taken derogatorily but more for the fact that the Government has engaged in a deliberate attempt to reduce Africans to the unfair and undignified status of menial workers.
The reality is further laid bare that there is a deliberate attempt by the government at economic emaciation since no discernable effort was made to economically emancipate Africans. One only needs to review available data as recent as August 2020 which reveals that Africans were disproportionately affected by poverty. It is a fact that Africans are unfairly treated and efforts to make their communities sustainable are deliberately stymied by the ruling cabal.
Just imagine that after eight months of dilly-dallying, the government informed residents of Belladrum that the proprietors of lands must request the removal of bushes from the backland. Most of these proprietors have died intestate, with quite a few now too aged for meaningful resistance. This is a common problem in ancestral villages, and any conscientious government would have endeavored to understand the culture and tradition of those residents if its genuine agenda was to enhance cohesion.
Consequently, I remain adamant that the stance established by the Ali/Jagdeo regime is debilitating and will remain so as long as there are compliant Africans within the oppressive hierarchy that are hell-bent on convincing their kith and kin that all’s well on this side of the border.
The PPP cabal obviously understands just one language which, unfortunately, is not being spoken by Africans within the upper echelon of the regime. There is also an upheaved call for the voices of the PNC leadership to bellow to the ruling cabal for relevant policy changes. Silence is a clear indication of consent and the stony silence of those Africans ‘in power,’ within the fold of the hierarchy of the ruling cabal, only serves to affirm the cruel, unmeritorious acts of the cabal against those of the African clan!
