  1. JOHN’S Antigua– West Indies Academy fast bowler Johann Layne will miss the second match of the Headley Weekes Tri-Series, starting on Wednesday, 26 April, following the sad news of the passing of his mother, Yvette Layne.

Johann returned to Barbados following the first-round match which ended last Friday, in which Johann took five wickets in the first innings in the West Indies Academy’s win over Team Headley. Cricket West Indies (CWI) extends sincere condolences to Johann and his family at this difficult time.

The players and match officials will wear black armbands and there will also observe a moment of silence before the start of the play. Match two (2) of the Headey Weekes Tri-Series will be played between West Indies Academy and Team Weekes at the Coolidge Cricket Ground (CCG) on Wednesday 26 April.  First ball is bowled daily at 10am (9am Jamaica).
