Wang urged efforts to further equip the CPPCC with new theories and raise the quality and standard of the CPPCC’s work persistently. He also called for efforts to understand the nature and position of the CPPCC, faithfully fulfill duties and responsibilities, and take the lead in implementing whole-process people’s democracy.

The establishment of relevant special committees should be advanced, the campaign of in-depth research and studies should be promoted, and the competence of CPPCC members should be strengthened, Wang said.

A series of agendas for 2023 were deliberated and adopted at the meeting, including a study plan for the Chairperson’s Council of the 14th CPPCC National Committee and the CPPCC’s key external exchange tasks. ■
