Pedal cyclist nabbed with 14.8 grams marijuana

- by ranks at western end of Demerara Harbour Bridge

At about 09:30hrs Thursday police ranks were performing duties on the Western end of the Demerara Harbour Bridge when they stopped a pedal cyclist, searched him and found 14.8 grams of suspected cannabis on his person.

The 22-year-old cyclist from Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara was arrested and escorted to the La Grange Police Station where he was placed into custody.

 The suspected cannabis was then weighed in his presence which amounted to 14.8 grams. He is presently in custody assisting with investigation. (Police Release)
