The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) has extended the Claims period to September 21, 2022, that is, next Wednesday.

The Objection period is extended to Sunday September 25, 2022

Persons can visit https://gecom.org.gy/ to query the Preliminary List of Electors (PLE) or view the PLE.

GECOM has advised during the Claims & Objections Exercise, Guyanese who would be 18 years and older by 31st October, 2022 would have the opportunity to review the Preliminary List of Electors (PLE) and make a claim to be included on the list or make corrections to their particulars, if already registered and now require alterations to said information.

Further, this can be achieved by visiting the closest GECOM Registration Office. Such claim should be done on or before 21st September, 2022.

Objection to the inclusion of any name on this List may also be done at the closest Office on or before 25th September, 2022.

Village Voice encourages all eligible Guyanese to check the Preliminary List of Electors (PLE). Your vote is your voice. Make it heard!
