Among the newest beauty trends in Guyana are ombre brows and lip blushing and people are calling the two- life changing techniques.

Transforming the lives of women in the mining town of Linden with the two beauty procedures is Tahirih Russell, proprietor of ‘Browzbytee’. Browzbytee offers semi-permanent makeup services like ombre brows and lip blushing.

According to Russell, Ombre eyebrow shading is an in-clinic procedure that gives a soft-shaded brow pencil look that lasts for one to three years. This look is achieved by using a small machine to place extremely thin dots of pigment into the skin, creating the soft-shaded brow pencil look, giving definition and depth to the brows.

Meanwhile, the lip blushing is a type of cosmetic tattooing procedure achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles, with each shade being customized to match the shade of one’s lips. This process is called pixilation and has the ability to change both the colour and shape of one’s lips. This beauty technique can also last for up to two years.

The aesthetician indicated that the techniques are time saving and decreases the stress of having to do achieve perfect brows and lips on your own.

“For those struggling with waking up every day to apply makeup do not worry because once these services are done you would not have to worry about doing your eyebrows and applying lip stick every day, it saves you a lot of time,” she said.

The young woman who hails from Three Friends Mines, Upper Demerara River, Region 10 said that it has always been her dream to be a part of the beauty industry to help improve the confidence of women.

“First I started up practicing makeup and then realizing I wanted to do something more permanent and that would last longer and make women all over feel more confident daily unlike getting your makeup up done every day just to have it fade away with sweat or a sprinkle of water. This is when I saw the owner of “Wowbrowz n beauty” offering a course and I knew that it was my opportunity to invest in something great,” Russell recalled.

For Russell, having a satisfied customer is always her top priority since customer service is very important to her.

The aesthetician stated that while having her own business can be challenging at times, the thought of being an inspiration to other young women encourages her to perceiver.

“Being the owner of my own business and funding it myself gets a little challenging but then reminding myself that my story can inspire younger girls like myself to become their own boss and to invest into six figure jobs have always been my dream,” Russell said.

The young woman indicated that she plans on expanding her business by adding more services in the future to cater for a wide array of customers.

Interested persons can message Russell on Instagram @browzbytee and on Facebook @browsbytee to book appointments.
