Two persons were killed during an early morning smash-up at Mahaica, which also left three police officers injured.
Village Voice News understands that the accident involved a number of vehicles including a police van. The police in a brief statement said that those killed were occupants of a blue Allion motorcar (PNN 8852). The three injured ranks were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where they are currently being treated.
It is unclear what caused the accident, however, an investigation was launched by the police. More details in a subsequent report.
