… $30M up for grabs

In celebration of Christmas, telecommunications giant – GTT – will be giving Guyanese an opportunity to win $30M from now until January 8, 2022.
GTT’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Home and Fixed Unit, Eshwar Thakurdin, made the announcement on Friday during the launch of the company’s Christmas Promotion at the Pegasus Hotel under the theme “Together We Celebrate.”

Thakurdin disclosed that new and existing customers now have the opportunity to win more credit, more data, more fibre, smart TVs, shopping vouchers and free MMG credit. It was explained that after the first 15 minutes, GTT users will get 45 minutes free on the same call to the US, Canada and UK fixed lines.
“Beginning November 19, that’s today, right through the Christmas Season up until January 8, each week, a randomly chosen customer will get an opportunity to win between $50,000 to $500,000 in cash prizes. Daily winners will win free credit, free data, grocery vouchers and cash vouchers,” Thakurdin further detailed.
Additionally, customers will benefit from free accessories with the purchase of selected phones, and free Gigabytes of data; plus, one-month free Fibre and Free installation on new signups.
“Eligibility applies to all of our customers paying a bill in full and on time in stores and the MMG and MyGTT apps; customers topping up their mobiles with $1000 or more; customers signing up for GTT Fibre or purchasing reduced handsets and SIM from GTT,” Thakurdin said.
Chief Operations Officer of Business Solutions, Orson Ferguson said following the myriad challenges of 2021, GTT looked forward to putting smiles on the faces of deserving customers, through its Christmas promotion.

“It is our tradition to show our appreciation for our fellowman, especially our valued customers, by coming together to share gifts of our own. It is for very good reason that I emphasize the word “together” as a major aspect of this Christmas celebration. The fact is that this Christmas with GTT is worth celebrating, not only because of our gifts and what they symbolize, but also because we do it together,” Ferguson said.
During the launch, the company also announced its three internal winners and conducted a random draw for all media personnel in attendance. Paul Vanvield, Tamica Garnett and Nakasia Logan were randomly selected and won $150,000 + a Samsung A54, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
The company also highlighted that this year it will introduce a new element to share its Christmas cheer with customers in regions three, four, six and ten through an exciting caravan in the streets. Customers are encouraged to look out for the GTT caravan to win prizes from November 20-December 22. The Christmas promotion runs until January 8.
