Dear Editor

The People’s National Congress Reform has noted the publication of certain comments in the newspapers and states the following facts:

The Optics of Reform: When Participation Is Mistaken for Progress

The Central Executive Committee received reports of an incident involving Ms. Kissoon which occurred at Congress Place;

The Central Executive Committee appointed a ‘Disciplinary Committee’ in accordance with Rule No. 24 of the Party’s Constitution;

The Disciplinary Committee invited interested persons, including Ms. Vanessa Kissoon, to give evidence;

The Disciplinary Committee submitted its report which was accepted by the Central Executive Committee.

The People’s National Congress Reform asserts that decisions concerning this case were made collectively and transparently by the Central Executive Committee and not by a single person and not without due process.
