US official holds talks with Region 9 community leaders

During a recent visit to Lethem and St. Ignatius, Region Nine, U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Mark Cullinane met with several top officials of the area also donated school supplies to a local school.

Those the DCM met were: Regional Chairman, Guyana Police Force leadership, the Regional Health Officer, the Lethem Town Clerk, the Rupununi Chamber of Commerce, and village leaders. According to a US Embassy press release, the DCM also received a tour of St. Ignatius Secondary School and donated 200 school kits, including backpacks and school supplies, on behalf of the U.S. Embassy.
