Barbadian ice cream manufacturer BICO has begun exporting its products to Guyana, the company said in a press release.

This move comes after the producer announced that regional exports from the Barbados based facility had begun to Dominica. As BICO ramps up distribution throughout the region, Sales and Business Development Manager, Dwayne Holmes, expressed optimism and sees BICO’s increasing exports as a “positive sign not only for BICO but other Barbadian businesses seeking to expand regionally.”

The growing demand for the products in nearby territories has seen BICO working diligently to pursue these markets. BICO’s CEO, Glen Stuart, expects the response to be favourable as ice cream from the beloved brand “has been highly requested since the reopening of the factory in Barbados.”

The shipment was expected to arrive on Friday July 9th, 2021. It includes a variety of lines from the company inclusive of Double Delight, Tropical Delight and BICO’s ice cream product aimed at the health conscious market, Skinny Delight.
