Investigations revealed that the Taitt was renting an apartment from the suspect’s mother where he was living with his reputed wife and 2-year-old daughter.
It was alleged by the deceased’s reputed wife that on 2021-07-11 about 17:30hrs, she, and Taitt were at home, when the landlady told them in the presence of the suspect that they have up to the 14th July 2021 to move out.

On the date and time of the alleged murder, the family was asleep when they were awakened by the suspect banging their apartment door with a piece of wood while shouting on them to move out.

As a result Taitt opened the door and went out to the suspect who was armed with a knife which he used to  attack Taitt.

The deceased ran out on a street opposite the said apartment, where the suspect pursued and dealt him a stab to his chest.

Taitt fell to the ground while the suspect fled the scene with the said weapon.

He was picked up by his reputed wife and a security guard and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.

The body was examined and a wound was seen to his left upper chest. The body was escorted to the said hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem examination.
The suspect was arrested and presently in custody.  The weapon was recovered,  statements taken and investigations are in progress.
