Understanding hypertension through socioeconomic circumstances and genetic makeup are important to prevention and early intervention. Hypertension is a public health crisis in the Caribbean, particularly in the African community. This is the result of how Africans body process sodium, deal with stress, socioeconomic class and access to care. Professor Francesco Cappuccio shares his views on Hypertension and Ethnicity.
