The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has sponsored building décor for the Ministry of Health – Disability and Rehabilitation Service Centre at its Croal Street, Georgetown location in observance of Independence Day.
In a release, it was noted that GTT’s Marketing Communications Manager, Nicola Balram assisted the team in dressing up the Rehab Centre as GTT continues to support local pride and all elements of health and wellness in Guyana.
“This comes as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative for 2021. We continue to highlight the point that GTT is one hundred percent Guyanese and excited to celebrate our 55th anniversary with our colleagues in the health and wellness business even in this pandemic,” Balram said.
“Additionally, our support to the country’s continued push for good health for all Guyanese is unwavering, especially in light of COVID-19. We continue to support all elements of health, particularly those that might not be as obvious as COVID-19, such as rehab services and mental health,” she added.
Meanwhile, Director of the Ministry’s Disability and Rehabilitation Services, Ariane Mangar thanked GTT for funding the Centre’s décor as it celebrates Guyana’s 55th independence.
“We are grateful for the support given by this corporate entity. It is important for us to showcase our support to Guyana during Independence through some of our local traditions such as dressing up of the Rehab Centre. GTT helped to make this possible, and we say thank you,” Mangar said.
