The suspected marijuana which was found in a building occupied by Wesley Barry

A Little India No. 79 Village, Corriverton man is now in police custody after more than 25 kg of marijuana was found in his house during an operation conducted by the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).

In a statement, CANU said the interception was made on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Lot176 Area “AA” Kingston, Little India No. 79 Village, Corriverton.

According to CANU, during a search of the building, which belongs to 41-year-old Wesley Antonio Barry, the suspected marijuana was discovered in 53 packages. They weighed 25.9 kg.

Barry, who was present at the time of the search, was taken into custody.
