The 40-year-old man is wanted for questioning. He was recently released from prison after being sentenced in 2019 for the murder of scrap metal dealer Akbar Alli, in 2008. He had admitted then, before the court, that he killed Alli.

Meanwhile, previous reports have indicated that Fagundes was shot and killed execution-style outside the Palm Court Nightclub on Main Street in March.

The Post Mortem Examination (PME) the body of popular businessman called ‘Paper Shorts’ found that he died of multiple gunshot injuries. Three metal fragments were retrieved from the body.

Reports are that the gold dealer was shot sometime after 22:00hrs by persons who were in a white car. According to persons who passed the scene, the man was shot close to the pedestrian crossing which runs across Main Street in the vicinity of the nightspot.

Based on markings made by crime scene investigators at the scene, as much as a dozen bullets were pumped into the man and eyewitnesses suggested that high powered rifles were used by the gunmen.

The body of the man, who was dressed in white trousers and a red shirt, was lying on the roadway late into the night as investigators combed the scene. Police investigations have been ongoing.
