Covid death toll up to 249

The Ministry of Health has announced the deaths of two more persons from the Covid-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 249.

The latest fatalities are, one 78-year-old female from Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Berbice) and 67-year- old male from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara). They both died while receiving care at our medical facility.

“The MOH expresses sincerest condolences to the families of the two deceased and will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed,” a release from the ministry said.

The ministry is also appealing to the general public to respect the confidentiality of the two deceased and their families and to allow them to mourn their tragic loss in peace.
