Guyana Post-Graduate medical students prepping for classes in Havana

The five post-graduate students from Guyana who arrived in Cuba in March have settled in comfortably in Havana and are currently preparing for classes, the Embassy of Guyana Cuba has noted.

The students are Dr. Jason Ramcharan (Clinical Neurology), Dr. Saif Ali (Ophthalmology), Dr. Jarell Watson (Neurology), Dr. Mohan Ronald (Endocrinology) and Dr. Avlon Jeffrey (Cardiovascular Surgery).

Guyana’s justice reforms lead to quicker criminal proceedings, reduced backlog

All have reported to the Guyana Embassy and have completed their paperwork. Last week, Dr. Watson and Dr. Ronald met with Ambassador Majeed to express their gratitude to the Public Service Ministry of Guyana and the Government of Guyana for affording them their fully-funded scholarships.
