Wanted man nabbed hiding under bed

Police on Wednesday arrested a man who was wanted for murder at Matthews Ridge hiding udner a bed.

In a release police said that between 16:30 hrs and 17:00 hrs on Wednesday acting on information received ranks went to the home of a 53-year-old resident of Garrison Hill, Matthews Ridge, Region 1, where they conducted a search in his presence for arms, ammunition and narcotics.

During the search, a 57-year-old male of Hell Hill, Matthews Ridge, who was wanted for murder committed on Orlando La Cruz, 40, of Pomeroon River which occurred on June 15, 2017, at Jack And Veira Backdam, North West District, Region 1, was found hiding under a bed. He was arrested and escorted to the Matthews Ridge Police Station and is presently in custody.
