Men from Diamond found with firearm, ammunition

Police ranks have arrested two men following an intelligence-led operation at a house at Eight Avenue, Diamond, East Bank Demerara, during which a Taurus 9mm pistol with 6 matching rounds were found.

The operation took place on February 16, 2021 and the firearm and rounds were found in the possession of a male suspect.

The male suspect along with another male occupant of the house were arrested and placed in custody pending charges.

The firearm and ammunition were lodged.
