Motorcyclist injured in early morning Brickdam accident

A motorcyclist of Victoria Road, Plaisance was on Saturday morning injured in a vehicular accident on the Brickdam Public Road, near the Ministry of Housing.

Police said that about 02:05h, 35-year-old Patrick Perry (motorcyclist) and 28-year-old Eon Brown of Section ‘B’ Pattenson, Turkeyen were involved in a collision.

Brown recounted that he was “proceeding along Brickdam, while the motorcycle was proceeding in the said direction, at the front of his motor car and as he was about to overtake the said motorcycle the motorcyclist swerved into his path, and a collision occurred.”

Perry fell onto the road where he received injuries. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was admitted as a patient.
A breathalyzer test was conducted on Brown and a reading of 0 per cent was recorded.

He is presently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
