According to Police, at about 16:42h, Cush went to a shop located on the western side of Cooper Street to purchase cigarettes. While at the shop, it is reported that two males had a heated argument causing one of the males to pull out a firearm and discharged a round in the direction of the other man. The bullet struck Cush to the right side of his face.

The suspects fled the scene on foot immediately thereafter.

Cush was pronounced dead on the scene by an EMT crew. His body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlour where it awaits a scheduled Post-Mortem Examination.
