Berbice man, other die from Covid-19

Two men, one from Berbice and the other from Region Four are the latest Covid-19 fatalities, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

Their deaths have taken the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 172.

The latest fatalities are two males, a 78-year-old from Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) and a 60–year- old from Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica). These persons died while receiving care at our medical facility.

The MOH expressed sincerest condolences to the families of the two deceased and will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed.
Meanwhile, the ministry is also reporting 76 new Covid-19 cases as of Sunday, bringing the total of confirmed cases here to 7298.
