East Ruimveldt man charged, remanded for armed robbery committed on GDF Officer

A 33-year-old East Ruimveldt, Georgetown man was on Friday charged with Robbery Under Arms committed on 25-year-old Kaya Dover, a Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Lieutenant on Thursday.

The charge was laid under Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law Offences Act, Chapter 8:01.

The labourer, Malvin Jeune, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan where the charge was read to him where he pleaded not guilty. He was remanded to Prison.

The matter has been adjourned to February 5, 2021 at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court Two.
