The narcotics found in the pocket of the juvenile

A 15-year-old boy was on Monday arrested after being found with four grams of suspected cannabis at Charity, East Bank Essequibo (Region Two).

Police said that at about 12:50h, the juvenile was observed by Police on patrol acting in a suspicious manner and a search was conducted on his person. The teen was found with four transparent zip locked plastic bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis in his pocket.

The juvenile was taken to the Charity Police Station where the cannabis was weighed in his presence and that of his grandmother.
He remains in custody assisting with investigations.
