“Usually he does go out with his friends them and hang. We used to live at another part in Line Path and all of his friends are there so he would go and spend time with the boys that side. Sometimes he does be at a shop hanging out too.”

The mother said she cannot come to grips with the tragic news.
“I was home when I heard a loud impact on the road so I decided to walk out and go see what happened, before I reach some people hold me back and tell me don’t go that your son get into an accident and they take him hospital but he’s okay. They keep holding me back and they bring me home and wasn’t telling me what happened,” the woman related.

“I crying going hospital and begging god for nothing to happen to my only son. I walk in the hospital and I see somebody cover up in a sheet and lay down on the stretcher. When I go closer and I see the foot and the pants I left shock. I know that was him but I was still hoping it wasn’t. I pull the sheet from the face and there was my son motionless.”

Bhoopwattie, related that she and Megnat had been living alone and he was the one who kept her company since the passing of her husband some five years ago.
“Me and he alone does deh. When he gone out I does go by the neighbours and gyaff and then when he come home he does come looking for me. He always like be next to me. I don’t know what I’ll do without him.”

Churman made it to his 26th birth anniversary but only enjoyed it for 24 hrs. On January 1st, he spent his birthday at home with his mom, however on Saturday while continuing his birthday celebration with some friends, he met his demise.
