Reports are that a minibus traversing the northern side of the public road had stopped to pick up a passenger and apparently, without checking his rear view mirror, drove on the roadway.

This caused two cars on the same lane and also heading east to attempt to take evasive action to avoid colliding with rear of the mini bus.
Despite efforts, the lead car instead slammed into the back of the bus causing the driver of the car immediately behind to swerve to the southern lane also to avoid collusion. The driver of the second car, ended up in the path of a third car heading west on the southern lane, clipping the right side of the vehicle.

That car then hit a lamppost, uprooting it and wrapping itself around the said post.
Those injured were taken to the Fort Wellington Cottage Hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
