There is nothing Dr. Luncheon can offer that can  change the damage already done

Dear Editor

The return of Dr Roger Luncheon to ‘active duty’ at Office of The President came as a shock and awe moment for the nation. Why?
This has revealed the nature of the PPP even more vivid than what is known by Guyanese. The PPP reward “their people” and at the same time they show and provide vicious political victimisation and discrimination to anyone they perceive are or were against them. Their scant regard and could careless less attitude with what others have to say about their actions and how they administer it, leaves much to be desired.

Mr. Editor, the PPP’s bringing back of Dr. Luncheon has nothing to do with his institutional memory and vast experience nor is it about  rewarding him. This recent action by the PPP shows how inhumane and inconsiderate they are to this nation’s elder. This is a microcosm of the mind of the PPP’s leadership.
Dr. Luncheon is known and most would agree that he is brilliant but what is also known, he is really sick and physically challenged.
Why punish and sentence a man who has served the PPP and this nation to such agony in his final years?
Hasn’t he done his bidding?

Are they this desperate for a spin doctor to try and change the narrative of the colossal failure of this regime’s time in office thus far?
Mr. Editor, as gifted with words and coining narrative changing phrases as the goodly doctor is skilled in, there is nothing he can say or write to change the writings on the wall of what the Guyanese people know and have concluded.

The ‘bearded man’ cannot change what we have seen and experienced already by this installed cabal regime.
The ethnic cleansing or as Dr. Luncheon puts it the “Ethno political discrimination” in the public service and other government agencies with the firing of eminently qualified people,  mostly black professional Guyanese is grossly disturbing.

Editor, it is said over one thousand Guyanese were fired by this regime in the world’s most deadly global ‘covid19’ pandemic environment.
Thousands of family members have lost the sole breadwinners in this difficult  time. Additionally, thousands of households  are still not in receipt of the twenty five thousand dollars covid-19 relief fund, but they were left with the infamous pink slip and a promise of later.
Three ministers of health, Covid is out of control and the death toll and infections rate are on the rise.
Thousands of poor Guyanese longing for a place to live rent free with their children and other family members were intentionally flooded out by this cabal regime whose campaign promise to fellow  Guyanese was home ownership, but instead gave them disease infested water where they rest their heads in this deadly covid19 environment.

There is nothing Dr. Luncheon can offer that can  change the damage already done.
What the goodly doctor can aspire to do in the comfort of his home where he should be, is to offer advise to the Jadgeo/Ali or the Ali/ Jadgeo regime, that their modus operandi is anti-Guyanese, it is anti-democratic, it appears anti-black and that this direction doesn’t augur well for the country and its people.
The elder statesman should strongly advise his party’s operatives squatting in government, that they cannot continue  to operate in isolation of the main opposition that represents arguably more than half of the population. He should advise the regime, that they cannot build or develop a country by reversing progressive policies and projects because it came from fellow Guyanese whose vision  of development differs for them.
Remind them that in this new era, Guyana should no longer be know as narco state and safe haven in the judiciary for drug king pins.
Remind them, that the mountain of evidence of electoral  fraud that the court will have to rule on, will lead to fresh elections and the people and the world is taking notice.

Finally, the learned doctor should advise, that the land and resources of this country is for all Guyanese, of all races or ethnicity and the aim of every administration should be to achieve the aspirations of our motto by taking us closer to the ideal.
Let Dr. Luncheon go home.
Regards

Jermaine Figueira
Member of Parliament
