Amphetamines and Methamphetamine are synthetic, addictive, mood-altering drugs, used illegally as stimulants.

The couple was arrested during a raid conducted by CANU at Lot 804 ‘C’ Field Sophia on Friday, November 20, 2020. In a statement, CANU disclosed that the suspected prohibited substances were discovered in one of the two bedrooms in the house. Notably, the suspected Amphetamine and Methamphetamine were in both powdered and pill forms while the suspected marijuana amounted to 8 grams.

Once the discovery was made, the two were arrested and taken to CANU Headquarters, pending completion of the investigation. “The female had a baby in her care at the time of arrest and was allowed to place the child in the care of another individual whilst she remained in CANU’s custody,” CANU said.

According to CANU, the suspects are assisting in the investigation.
