In an effort to bolster Guyana’s ability to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, United Teleports donated a Carefusion Ventilator LTV 1150 to the Ministry of Health on Thursday.
Minster Dr. Frank Anthony, thanked United Teleports for the donation at a simple presentation ceremony at his Brickdam office.
“As you know, in the COVID times, ventilators are an important piece of equipment these days. We have had our own challenges because a couple months ago that’s one of the things we did not have enough of. So, we have been trying to retool our hospitals to ensure we have enough ventilators for the patients who need it so I think this is quite timely. It’s going to add to our complement and I am sure it will benefit some of our patients,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of United Teleports, Mr. Ricardo Diaz handed over the equipment to Minister Anthony.
David Garcia, CEO of Broadcast Tech and Broadcast Concepts; Michael Forde, Engineering Director Telecommunications Services Development and Devon Roberts NCN’s Production Manager- Technical/ Regional Radio also attended the ceremony.
