Guyana’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations (UN), Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett (left) with Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres.

Guyana’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations (UN), Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, on Monday, formally presented her Letters of Credence to Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres.

Rodrigues-Birkett, the first female and indigenous person appointed as Permanent Representative of Guyana to the UN, has been accredited the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
