The Guyana Police Force is investigating a serious accident which occurred on Tuesday on the No. 60 Public Road, East Berbice-Corentyne (Region Six) at about 21:30h.

According to reports, motorcar PVV 3113, owned and driven by Dellon Harvey, a Police Constable stationed at Rose Hall Town Police Outpost with occupant Standard Douglas, 32, of No.53 Village, Corentyne, Berbice was proceeding north along the western drive lane of the said road at a fast rate, when it was alleged by Douglas, who was seated at the left front seat, that Harvey swerved west from a herd of cows, to avoid a collision. The driver instead crashed in to a concrete culvert and a metal gate, on the western side of the road.
