Police hunting two men for attempted murder

The life of a 70-year-old business man of South Ruimveldt Park was almost snuffed out by two unidentifiable males of Arican Descent on Wednesday.

Enquiries revealed that the victim, who is a licensed firearm holder, was sitting on a chair infront of his establishment when he was confronted by the suspects.

An argument quickly ensued and escalated into a physical altercation during which the businessman was relieved of his firearm and shot by one of the suspects causing the businessman to collapse to the ground.

The suspects escaped on a bicycle with the businessman’s firearm.

The businessman was picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he is presently undergoing surgery and is in a serious condition.

No arrest made as yet.  Investigations are ongoing.
