Suspect nabbed after robbery at Guy America construction firm

Police are investigating an armed robbery  which occurred at Guy America Housing Scheme, Hill Foot Soesdyke Linden Highway early Tuesday morning.

The bandits stole one Escavator Sensor/monitor, value unknown property of Guy America Construction Company by three identifiable males.

Enquiries disclosed that two males were on duty at the said housing scheme when the three suspects ran up to them, held them at gunpoint and demanded the article mentioned for the excavator. One of the suspects ended up in a scuffle which resulted in the two male employees of Guy America being tied up and beaten.

The suspects then removed the item mentioned from a parked excavator and made good their escape.

About 05:50 hrs  acting on information received that the said three suspects were seen at the Soesdyke Junction, ranks responded and arrested one of the suspects, a 21yrs old male, unemployed of Kuru Kururu Soesdyke Linden Highway hiding in a yard. A monitor and a toy gun were dropped by the men after the police gave chase.
