Fire guts GECOM Linden office …arson attempt also on army base in Essequibo

Arsonists struck twice between Monday night and early Tuesday setting fires to a Guyana Defence Force base in Essequibo and the Guyana Elections Commission building in Linden.
The fires fall closely on the heels of an attempt to burn down the Umana Yana on Sunday as well as the riot at the Lusignan Prison on the same day. (More details on these fires will follow)
