The Village Voice GY is in receipt of a letter dated July 11, 2020 from GECOM CEO Keith Lowenfield to GECOM Chair, Claudette Singh. The letter states that since the CEO received no guidance on the preparation and submission of the General and Regional elections report from GECOM Chair, Claudette Singh and since “Article 177(2) of the Constitution affords the technical officer the right to advise the Chairman of the elections result that ought to be declared”, the CEO would therefore submit report based on declaration of ROs reflected in Form 24.

Results from Form 24 reflect a win for the coalition with 236,777 votes going to APNU-AFC and 229,330 votes to the PPP/C, while 5090 votes went to the joined lists (ANUG, LJP & TNM).

The seat allocation is as follows; 33 seats to the APNU+AFC, 31 seats to the PPPC and 1 seat to the joined lists.
