Victorine was sent packing on Wednesday by GNPL’s Chairman, Dr. Dexter Phillips and Directors following an emergency board meeting.

In a statement, the company said its Chairman and Directors had unanimously agreed that Victorine should proceed on leave with immediate.

It explained that Auditor General, Deodat Sharma was written to and invited by the Chairman of the Board to carry out an audit. However, Victorine was not very cooperative.

“Mr. Victorine has not been cooperating with the board in several requests for information on the company’s finance, thereby stalling the work of the Board. There are serious concerns over the finances of the company including the purchase of used printing equipment acquired for over $100M which is non-functional among other financial transactions,” the company explained.

The Chairman and Board of Directors are hopeful that the audit could be undertaken in an expeditious manner while Victorine remains on leave.
