Dickie lived with his wife Loyola, 42; his daughter and 18-year-old nephew.
According to a police report, the deceased’s nephew said he was awakened by two suspects who pointed a hand gun to his chest, took him to his uncle’s room and instructed him to tell his uncle to open his bedroom door.

Dickie opened the door and shortly after a scuffle ensued between the victim, and one of the armed suspects.
A round was discharged which struck Dickie to the chest, causing him to collapse. The suspects then demanded money from the victim’s wife and proceeded to ransack the rooms. They escaped through the western door.

Dickie was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by his wife and daughter, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said that they processed the crime scene and it was revealed that the suspects entered the house from the lower flat through a northern window and exited through a southern door.
Investigations ongoing.
