Goalkeeper for Fruta Conquers, 26-year-old Leon Sealey Yaw, of East La Penitence, Georgetown died last evening following an accident on Mandela Avenue.
Details of the accident remain unclear. However, reports indicate two motorcycles collided leaving one driver dead and the other in critical condition.

The Guyana Football Association (GFA), in a statement, conveyed its deepest condolences to Yaw’s family and friends  They body recognised Yaw’s significant contributions to the sport and pledged to honour his memory by continuing to support and nurture young talents.
