The Ministry of Education, on Tuesday, received 50,000 face masks from two companies, N&S Algoo and A.M.S Investment which are to be distributed across the country to students who will return to schools next week.
Finance Director of N&S ALGOO a licensed customs brokerage service, Sabrina Algoo said that with schools set to reopen for some students next Monday, the two companies saw the need to play their part in ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
Algoo said that as a mother of a school-aged child she understands the anxieties of parents whose children have to return to school. She said too that the donation will also ease parents’ financial burden to provide masks for their children.
The masks were presented to Minister of Education Priya Manickchand who thanked the two companies for their donation. The Education Minister said that with the timely donation, her ministry now has to procure less masks ahead of the reopening of schools.
