“I chose the name because it’s cool and it’s a play on my name. The statement itself signifies putting together work that’s of a quality akin to what a king would enjoy and/or receive,” he said.

In his spare time, the multipotentialite creates digital art. He also practices and creates 3D design, photography, videography, animation and gaming, which is usually posted on his personal Instagram account, @akeempowers.

“I naturally gravitated towards art and animation. My mom used to do traditional art with me, I used to draw a lot and she would draw with me. However as time went on it kinda stagnated as I  kept trying new things like making videos and so forth. It’s through me trying a lot of things all the time in that general area of “creation”. My mom sent me to Intellect Storm to complete an internship and that cemented it in my life,” he told this publication during a telephone interview.

With his digital art skills, he makes the average person look like a cartoon/digital character.

This tech genius is a graduate of the University of Guyana and a former student of St.Roses High School. Whilst at the University of Guyana, Akeem pursued a degree in Computer science, because of his love for technology and digital media.

When asked how we manage, school, and business, he said “I take what I can handle. I also take clients based on my schedule and/or free time.”

Copping his university degree and the growth of his business are achievements that Akeem is proud of.  He noted that his business started with him helping a few friends and now it can be considered as a decent source of income.

When asked for advice, Akeem said, “Keep creating and learning. Try your best and do not let the Guyanese industry discourage you from doing what you love.

If you do what you love, hard enough and long enough you can monetize it. Focus on yourself and your craft and be realistically positive.”

Persons interested in his service can connect with him @Kingsdraft on all social media platforms.
