As for the CIOG, it is a public view because Irfaan Ali is the President of this country they can do as they like. Apparently, laws and justice, and fair play The two recent attacks on the Mayor of Georgetown by the Private Sector Commission (PSC) and the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) solely conform to the perception of the society that both agencies are the arm of the ruling cabal.

As crime grows in this society both organizations remain silent. As for the private sector, the representative who sits in the office of the President is proud to say to the world that he was part and parcel of the scheme to bring pressure on the leadership of the past government to accept the electoral results that they and their constituents find abominable.

The issue of laws and universal principles means nothing to the private sector commission and its appendages, for they are prepared to make money even if it requires the shedding of the blood of the poor.  Regrettably today they adorned themselves in red ties and openly demonstrate Trumpian values, a contemptuous attitude towards democracy and public accountability.

The PSC seemingly is supportive of the ruling cabal’s discriminatory policies and actions that are being executed in Georgetown and predominantly African communities. Conversely, they will not condone such practices in Indian communities.

do not mean anything to them.

The Africans’ cry of discrimination is not heard by the CIOG and the PSC, but beyond Guyana’s borders by foreign governments and reputable NGOs who have empathized with the discriminated class. Undoubtedly, these organisations, more specifically, the PSC’s primary objective is profit making and exploitation of the working class.

Though Mayor Narine’s utterance was unpleasing to the ear, we do empathize with him owing to the level of abuse being meted out to the citizens of Georgetown. We unreservedly support Mayor Ubraj Singh and call on the citizens of Georgetown and wider afield to mobilize against this oppressive racist government and its concomitant arms.

We the people have power and it’s time to mobilize and boycott all the businesses that support the PSC’s unprincipled position and its assault on Mayor Ubraj Narine.

The Private sector will never speak about justice and fair play in this society because nearly all their members are involved in underpaying and robbing people in this society. For instance, the local security services are underpaying and exploiting workers to the extent that workers are not entitled to lunch and bathroom breaks and are required to work 12 hours of continuous standing.
