Permanent Secretary of the Public Works Ministry, Mr. Vladim Persaud, Sunday signed a contract with Modern Construction and Trucking Services for the emergency construction of an improved ‘B’ Field Sophia Bridge (Blacka Bridge).

The contract, valued at some $50 million, will span a period of three months, and will see a new bridge built to replace the previous one, which had been in a dilapidated state for some time.
