Belle West and the National library were the two learning pods selected in June for the “Learning pods of the month” award.  Awarded monthly, the accolades are given to club leaders who perform outstandingly as they lead their afterschool academic support programs for mostly vulnerable students in learning pods across Guyana.

Volunteer Micaela McGarrell

The National Library learning pod was able to overcome some facility challenges and were accommodated in their move from their Tiger Bay location to the National Library.  The current location offers more comfortable facilities for the children and improved reliable internet connectivity and this has improved attendance and overall productivity of the students.  The National Library learning pod leadership team of volunteers and club leaders made the migration process efficient and transparent to the students.
