The Police Office of Professional Responsibility is conducting investigations into the alleged beating of a physically challenged man by a police constable at Orinduik.

The alleged assault on the 35-year-old resident of Kurukabaru reportedly occurred on February 10, 2022 at Orinduik, in Regional Police Division #8.

According to the police, resident has visible signs of injuries and has received medical assistance from a Medex.

The Police Constable involved has been placed under close arrest as the investigations continue.
