The ministry’s support programme is aimed at providing a range of additional services to teachers across an array of relevant areas.

While many teachers have returned to teaching physically in the classrooms, the GTT CEO reminded of company’s support to teachers through its teachers plan that provides them with 25 percent extra data and minutes when purchasing any bundle.

“We at GTT believe in the quality of education and the quality of learning teachers in Guyana provide. While many teachers and students transition to learning virtually, we will continue to play our role in supporting them,” Blackburn said.

The GTT Sales team also attended the event with special deals on handsets, distributed Free GTT SIMs and handed over four Samsung A11 smartphones to randomly selected teachers.

The event is among several activities by the ministry in observance of Education Month 2021. It was observed under the theme “Education for All: Innovative Teaching and Learning in a Global Pandemic”.
