Meanwhile, 29 persons died in the next 7 days between September 4-10. There were multiple deaths on several days between this period with the lowest occurring on September 8 at two deaths and the highest on September 5 and 7 with six deaths each.

Thus far for the month, more females have died than males, setting a shift to the trend. While 29 females have died just far, 15 males died. The youngest person to die thus far for the month was 31 years old and the oldest, 91. Most persons who died were in their 60s.

This is premised against the fact that there were 218 new cases as of September 10, with 30 persons in the COVID-19 ICU. There were 2,624 in home isolation, 143 in institutional isolation and 17 in institutional quarantine.

The COVID-19 death toll rose to 669 as of September 10. Altogether, for the year thus far, the number of COVID-19 related deaths per month are as follows: January – 13; February – 20; March – 36; April – 66; May – 98; June – 80; July – 68; August – 78 and 44 as of September 10.

Meanwhile, the country’s vaccination rate now stands at over 329,000 for the first jab and over 172,000 for the second.
