It is the Massaman’s view that the nations of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana are some of the most fascinating places to learn about in the entire world, given the mix of Indian and African cultures. He poses the question “but how did this come to be?” These are conversations that help in creating a more informed and educated society. Learning about each other is better for understanding what each group has contributed to Guyana’s development, our commonalities and uniqueness that have shaped and influenced who we are Guyanese. Learn a little more about us from another’s exploration of our rich diversity.
