Man fatally stabs younger brother on Cummings Street

A Cummings Street man was fatally stabbed on Friday morning after he scolded his older brother for assaulting their mother.
Dead is Paul Chase, age 24.

Reports are that shortly after 0800hrs on Friday, the two brothers were in a heated argument at their home at Lot 101, Cummings Street, Bourda when the older sibling grabbed a knife and fatally stabbed his sibling. The mother of the men was also assaulted by the assailant.
A related that the younger Chase upbraided his brother after the latter verbally and physically abused their mother. “He cuf the mother to she eye and swell it up,” a relative told the Village Voice.

The two brothers then argued and a physical fight ensued, during which the older man dealt his brother several stab wounds.
The victim died at the scene , first responders confirmed. Police later arrived at the home and arrested the assailant. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
